About Terpsville:
"Terpsville" was written as an ad campaign leading up to the announcement that Maryland Football would be returning to their throwback uniforms "Script Terps" full-time starting in 2023. The ad campaign spoofs Dr. Pepper's "Fansville" ad campaign.
I wrote up a 32-page production deck (deck here) that wrote out scripts, storyboards, casting concepts, shoot locations, set designs, camera movements, lighting... everything.
I brought on 13 actors from the Maryland School of Theater and Dance and on-campus comedy groups. We also had cameo appearances from current and former student-athletes, coaches, our Athletic Director, and a superfan known as "Flag Suit Guy." I also casted over 20 extras to fill our scenes in various episodes, including general Maryland fans, our own student interns, and members from our campus police department.
We shot in eight locations, We shot in 8 locations, including an on-campus broadcast studio, local staples like the bar RJ Bentley's, and even a coworkers apartment rearranged into a therapy office. We filmed over 12 days.
